About Me

Hi! I’m Lisa Tozzi.

I’m a journalist who has worked for decades as a reporter, a producer, an editor, and a leader who has built and managed ambitious, collaborative, digital-first newsrooms at The New York Times, Rolling Stone, BuzzFeed News, and other media outlets. I am expert at assembling great teams and developing talent at all experience levels; creating systems to foster collaboration and communication; and encouraging creativity and experimentation.

I am available to work with you on all types of writing and editing projects including manuscript evaluation and ghost writing. I also can provide journalism training and guidance on newsroom organization, strategy, and best practices for creators, students, nonprofits, and non-traditional media, and independent organizations.

I live in Jackson Heights, Queens with my spouse Craig Campanella and our dogs Lou Grant and Quincy.
